What are the career options after BDS

This is the most confusing question among dental students, which arises due to lack of negligence in this field. Though there is a lot of saturation in dentistry, but with proper guidance you can give your career the best shape.

Let us explore all the possible options one by one : 

1. MDS: this is the most obvious choice. Some of the dental graduates opt to go for this to get more insight into dentistry. You can even do your MDS from AIIMS or AFMC giving your career one of the best directions.

2. Another most obvious choice is setting up the clinic. If you don't want to go for further studies then clinical setup is a good idea, though it requires some investments too. 

3. Be a dental corp. It is one of the most renowned position for dental graduates and you get a chance to serve in the defence field. You can apply for this, after completion of your graduation degree. But for this, the first thing you need is  a very good rank in NEET MDS. 

4. UPSC dental surgeon exam or any state PSC for dental officer position. UPSC dental surgeon exam is conducted after every three years while state PSC is held according to the vacancies created. Since it is a government job, so it is a secured and prestigious one. 

5. Apply for Jrship in the best hospitals across the country.
